Needed:
a balloon
a piece of tissue paper (cut into the shape of a person) about two inches by three inches
Talk about what it feels to be sad or scared. Sometimes you feel hopeless.
Ask:
Who is the one person who can bring hope back into your life?
Read: Alma 7:12-13
Answer: Jesus
Lay the tissue paper person on the table. He is sad and feels like no one can help him. 
Take the balloon and rub it in your hair. Hold it inches above the person and see him stand. If you move it closer, he will jump up to the balloon.
Jesus is like the balloon and will help us to stand and to be lifted up in his love.
Ask: How can Jesus help us?
Read: Alma 7: 12-13 again.
Answer: He will allow us to live again. He will take our sickness and hurt away. He will take our sins away.
End the lesson by allowing the children to play with the person and balloon. Discuss the gratitude we should have for our Savior.
